MICK CURRY Football Academy
The reason Woolston Technical FC have asked Mick to develop a football development programme is quite simply because he has supreme coaching credentials. He has worked with professional English clubs to develop young football talent on a pathway from the youngest age to the professional ranks.
Mick's focus is on technical development of players. Players are grouped by age and skill and a programme of football development is undertaken in a professional and age-appropriate environment.
If you would like to experience the Mick Curry Football Academy, Woolston Technical is offering a 10 week Term 2 programme for just $50, for 7th Grade to 12th Grade players; and a Goalkeepers School for 9th to 15th grade players.

11th and 12th Grades - Tuesdays 5pm (starts 28th April)

About Mick
Mick is a UEFA qualified professional coach from the UK, who has joined Woolston Technical FC as Director of Coaching.
Mick's last post was as Youth Development Coaching Director with Non League club Burton Albion (effectively 5th division in English football). Mick has 20 years experience with youth football development and brings a professional standard to Woolston Technical's football development programmes.
A former player for Ipswich Town when they were in what is now the Barclay's English Premier League, his career path turned towards coaching after a serious knee injury. Since then Mick has held many positions coaching football in the community and for professional football clubs, (including the Derby County academy, manager of Stapenhill FC and assistant at non-league Gresley Rovers before his last stint at Burton Albion).
His interest in New Zealand football was ignited after meeting All Whites coach Ricki Herbert on an UEFA A-Licence coaching course three years ago.
